Michael P. Brown Obituary

Michael Paul Brown, 38, of Paris, Illinois, formerly of Athens, Illinois, passed away at 10:51 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in the emergency room of Horizon Health. He was a former employee of Cargill of Paris.

He was born April 22, 1987, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Stephen Paul and Roberta Marie (Schrishuhn) Brown. He married Melissa Ann Wineinger on November 6, 2010, in Champaign, Illinois, and she survives.

Other survivors include his parents, Steve and Bobbie Brown of Athens; his maternal grandparents, Victor and Margaret Schrishuhn of Mt. Pulaksi, Illinois; four children, Emerson Paul Brown, Vivian Leigh Brown, Aubrey Mae Brown, and Joanna Marie Brown all at home; his parents-in-law, Dennis and Mary Alice Wineinger of Marshall, Illinois; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Bernadine Brown; and his mother-in-law, Cathy Wineinger.

Mr. Brown was a 2005 graduate of Athens High School and was accomplished in Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He earned an Associate's Degree in John Deere Ag Technology from Lake Land College. Mike was a member of Success Christian Church and Paris Fraternal Order of Eagles. He will be remembered as a proud and devoted father who loved camping and fishing, especially when in the company of his family.

SERVICE INFORMATIONThe family will announce a public Celebration of Life at a later date. Templeton Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
