He is survived by: his daughter Marla Carlson of Chicago; his stepson Patrick Corkins (Mary) of Chicago; his siblings, Damon Johnson (Carol) of Brocton, David Johnson of Paris, Dale Johnson of St. Bernice, Indiana, Genevieve Wilson of Paris, Kate Malone of Paris, Sue Ritchey (Charlie) of Oliver, Patty Ann Lewis (Ed) of Marshall and Debra Johnson of Paris; his grandchildren, Bodie and Quincie Carlson; his stepgranddaughters, Chelsea Hughes and Clara Corkins; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaiden and Jaxson Monroney; and his close friends, Dave Thomas, Steve Edwards, Phil Bouslog and Larry Eldredge.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Templeton Funeral Home (600 E Court St, Paris, IL 61944). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
