We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2024, at the age of 94, Agnes A. Johnson of Park Forest, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Douglas Williams and Sepora Lee Williams; her husband Charles; her sons, Vonzell and Charles; her stepdaughters, Mary Pitts and Maple Johnson; her siblings, Willie, Margaret, McKinley (Alberta), Joe (Vera), Annie, Henrietta (Jacob), R. Bell, Charles, Sylvester, Alberta (Roy), Ben (Zettie) and Louise (Lawrence); and her close friend Kizzie Cameron.

She is survived by : her children, Leroy (Carmen), Jeanette, Shirley, Julita (Darren) and Taurus; her stepdaughter Annie Ewell; her grandchildren, Judaea (Kim), Crystal (Dwayne), Chereese, Maurice, Justin, Melody (Michael), Latacia (Daron), Gemae, Seretha, Aubrey, Tatyana (Yusef), Armone and Amari; her nieces, Melody Williams (Robert), Linda Myart (Donald), Cynthia Robinson (Joe), Mary McDonald and Alicia Page; her nephew Johnny Wright (Shirley); her son-in-law Maurice Johnson; her close friend Mary Owens (Clyde); and her friends, Susan Ballun, Michelle Johnson and Burnell Holman. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (402 Singleton Pl, Joliet, IL 60436). A burial was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at the Elmhurst Cemetery (1212 E Washington St, Joliet, IL 60433).
