Barbara left this world on April 9, 2026 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Ted A. Griffin; and her parents, Albert Sass and Leona Sass. She is survived by: her children, Deb Engel (Kevin) and Tom Griffin (Krista Prestek); her grandchildren, Kristian, Annie, Theo Engel, Elliott and Alice Griffin; her brother John Sass (Karen); her niece Jenny Borgman (Tim); and her nephews, John Sass, Ben Janas, Mark Kurtz (Jill) and Glen Kurtz (Hope).
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund is established in Barbara and Ted's name to help send a student to music camp each summer, honoring their enduring commitment to music education.
