He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur G. Schalk and Barbara Karling Schalk; and his brother Robert Schalk (Kathy). He is survived by: his wife Joan Albert; his sons, Art Schalk Jr. and Daniel A. Schalk (Susan Holsen); his granddaughters, Sydney, Samantha and Sophia; and his siblings, Barbara Piazza (late Anthony), Marilyn Markowitz (late John) and Shirley Girten (late Larry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
