He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Josie; his parents, Peggy and Patrick; his siblings, Michael, Kathleen Micek (Mike), Patrick (Kim), John (Jolanta) and Mary Margaret Knuerr (Joseph); and his siblings' children, Timothy, Sean, Erin, Chloe, Luke, Matthew, Zachary and Robert.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooney Funeral Home (625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Brebeuf Church (8307 N Harlem Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
