She was predeceased by: her husband Edward T Kurtz; her sister Arline Allen; her brother-in-law Woodrow Allen; and her significant other Adam Duzynski. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Bishop Robert J. Kurtz, Jean R. Tierney and Robert Allen; her children, Thomas Kurtz (late Mary Fran), Christine Pikus (Ronald) and Karen Marlega (James); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Pikus, Kari Pikus, Scott Marlega (Kate), Michael Kurtz (Camila), Jennifer Neal (Taylor), Timothy Marlega (Kelsey) and Kelly Marlega; her great grandchildren, Evelyn Markham, Leo Von Rentzel, Hannah Marlega and Connor Marlega; and also Leo. She is also survived by her family and friends.
Dolores later moved to an independent living community in Palatine, which she thoroughly enjoyed until moving in with her son in Park Ridge during COVID.
