She was predeceased by: her husband David Tapia; her sisters, Sabrina Duarte and Margie Duarte; and her parents, Jesse Duarte and Manuela Duarte.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diana Tapia and Suzanne Rodriguez (David); and her sister Terri Berkowitz (Gerald).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home (120 S NW Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org) would be appreciated.
