He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Victoria Sears (Ronald), James Alwin (Ilona "Loni"), Bet Alwin and Ann Marie Alwin; his nieces and nephews, Christopher Johansen (Julia Stemper), Ryan Johansen (Heather), Russel "Rusty" Sears (Dara Goodheart), Lauren Johansen, Anna Sears (Michael Matson), Amber Heiser (Matthew) and Josh Alwin; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Madilyn Johansen, Ryder Johansen, Wyatt Johansen, Vance Heiser, Harper Heiser, Westley Matson, Finnegan Sears and Rory Sears; and his parents, Bruno Alwin and Harriet M. Alwin.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services (9445 31st St, Brookfield, IL 60513). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
