He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Rentas and Demetra Rentas; his brothers, James (Sandy) and William (Denise); and his father-in-law Jose Cardoso.

He is survived by: his wife Michelle; his children, Nicholas Gus and Sophia; his siblings, John (Laren), Thomas and Steve (Cynthia); and his mother-in-law Albina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
