He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth; his children, James Jr. (Kimberly Jansen), Eric (Heather) and Laura Larsen (Doug); his grandchildren, Julia, Douglas, Natalie, Charlotte, Aly and Emma; his brother Stephen (Twinkle); and his sibling's children, Tim, Michelle, Nicole, Jenny and Joseph.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooney Funeral Home (625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church (320 S Washington Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
