With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary L. Kanelos (Park Ridge, Illinois), who passed away on July 4, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Nick G. Kanelos; her son Nicholas Kanelos, Jr. (late Barbara); her parent Athanasios; and her siblings, Bill, Gus, James, George and Peggy.

She is survived by: her children, Dina Dowmon (James) and Thomas Kanelos (Maryann); and her grandchildren, Andrew, Katherine, Maria, Michael (Kristen), Nicholas (Catherine) and Amalia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to OCAA Nika House Center, 810 W. Oregon Street, Urbana, IL 61801 would be appreciated.
