He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick McCann and Bridget McCann; his siblings, Kathleen McCann and Thomas Joseph "Joe"; his sister-in-law Cora McCann; his nephews, Brendan McCann and Patrick McCann; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Hoey, John Hoey and Peter Hoey.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his children, Sheila Stanton (late Daniel), Michael (Tricia), Kathleen, Sarah McGovern (Patrick), Peter and Kevin; his grandchildren, Finbar, Seamus, Sinead, Liam Stanton, Clare, Megan, Michael McCann, Patrick, Maeve, Luke and Francis McGovern; his brothers, Patrick, Andrew (Rose), Sean (Margaret) and Gerard (Patricia); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Kirwan (late Joseph), Brigid Meer (late John), Rosaleen Hoey and Maura Hoey (late Patrick James "Jim"). He is also survived by 32 nephews and nieces.
