He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Abigail Burritt; his grandfather Henry J. Moheiser; his children, Sue Maldonado (Frank), Steven (Mary Jo) and Christopher; his grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Daniel, Kelly, Edward and Charles; and his sisters, Susie McDonald, Dale Ann Watne and Rosie Breazier.

“We are both very sad to hear of Richard's passing. The Cubberly's clothing store Moheiser's was a Park Ridge institution. Before backpacks kids would use Moheiser's bags to carry their back-to-school supplies. No guessing where their new school attire came from. It was always a pleasure shopping with all of the friendly and knowledgeable staff. We feel this was definitely a reflection on Rick and his wife Carol. Rest in Peace. James and Nancy Frugoli”
