He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Ewald and Florence Ewald; his sons, George, Jack (Laura), William and Robert; his brother William; and his nephew David.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanine; his son Steven (Karen); his grandchildren, Arley Hoynoski (Steve) and Kristina Allen (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Aiden, Winter and Aurora; and his nephew Michael.
