He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Butera and Lois Butera; his siblings, John Butera and Lois Bychowski; and his parents-in-law, Patrick and Jeanne Flaherty.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jeanne (Flaherty); his daughters, Barbara Matusiewicz (David), Karen Grandon (Daniel) and Janice Fleming (John Griffith); his grandchildren, Nicole, Jason, Katelyn, Luke, Sara and Isabelle; and his sisters, Linda Zellers (Wayne) and Gina Tillotson (John).
In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
