He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smolka and Wanda Smolka. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindi" Smolka; and his siblings, Sandra Dobrovolskis (late Sonny) and Phillip Smolka (Sylvia).
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home (120 S NW Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the All Saints Cathedral Parish (9201 W Higgins Rd, Chicago, IL 60631). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at the All Saints Polish National Catholic Cemetery (9201 W Higgins Rd, Chicago, IL 60631).
