He is survived by: his brother Ken Szwed (Donna); his spouse Mayelln Visek Szwed; his children, Micahel (Julie Collins) and David; his sibling's children, Peter (Julibeth), Karen, Paul, Douglas (Stacy), Lauren (John), Krista and Scott (Dana); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, David, Ian, Evan, Delaney, Sydney, Liam, Maeve, Damen, Hendrix, Helena, Cecily, Ryan, Carly, Owen, Kyle and Nina.
A wake will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home (120 S NW Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Saint Paul of the Cross Church (320 S Washington Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068).
