He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ida Margaret "Mickey" Sauter; his children, Spencer William Sauter (Mary Ann Bushman), Linnea Sauter, Roger Warren Sauter (Robin), Loretta Sauter O'Neill (James), Laura M. Heagy (Cliff) and Lorraine Knox (Lee); his grandchildren, Shalagh Sauter O'Neill, Luke Sauter, Joseph Sauter, Linnea O'Neill, Grace Heagy Krogh, Abigail Heagy Bruckschen, Anna Marie Sauter, Hannah Heagy Koster, Sophie Knox, Ben Knox, Aaron Knox and Aidan Knox; and his siblings, Bernhardt Sauter, John Wesley Sauter, Leo Francis Sauter and Mardel Sauter Kalnes.
