He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shannon and Celesta Shannon (Gross); and his brothers, Gregory and Roger. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his daughters, Cynthia Shannon-Hutchison (Nat), Cassandra Clayton (Gaylon) and Jennifer Hendren (Chuck); his grandchildren, Alicia McAtee (Nathan), Jordan Hendren (Alexis), Tara Hendren, Charlotte Clayton, Tess Clayton (Reid Sartain) and Benji Clayton; and his great grandchildren, Lorene McAtee and Calvin Hendren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church (370 Wiley Ave, Paw Paw, IL 61353). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paw Paw Fire Department.
