With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Alice O'Neal (Paw Paw, Illinois), who passed away on December 26, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ruth Mattoon and Kenneth Mattoon; her husband Jim; her siblings, Jean Lawrence, John and James Mattoon; and her pet Roxy.

She is survived by : her children, Cathie Holmgaard (Jeff) of Loves Park, IL, Scott O'Neal (Althea) of Albuquerque, NM and Barry O'Neal (Clara) of Marseilles, IL.; and her grandchildren, Stacy Binkowski (Ray), Lindsay Safranek, Tim Safranek, Erika O'Neal, Jamie O'Neal, Blake O'Neal (Candace) and Bailey O'Neal.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Paw Paw Public Library, reflecting Joyce's spirit of generosity, community, and love for reading.
