He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Thompson and Mildred Thompson (Wright); and his children, Lisa Bittel and Brian Davy. He is survived by: his wife Pat Davy; his sister Shelly Hampton; and his sons, Roger Davy (Ida) and Mike Davy (Sue). He is also survived by six grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
