He is survived by: his parents, Logan Ponsler and Ashtyn Ponsler; his grandparents, Sasha, Jim Cadigan, Mike, Tracy Freeman, Scott and Kristy Ponsler; his great-grandparents, Roseanne, Rod Nance, Brenda, Warren Ponsler, Sharon Weinhoeft, Dan, Denise Courtney, Mary Cadigan, Tom and Patsy Morelock; and his great-great-grandparents, Charles Nance and Edward Courtney.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pawnee Christian Church (1200 Rutledge St, Pawnee, IL 62558). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family is accepting donations to help cover the cost of Laykin's services. Contributions may be made in cash or check to either of his parents.
