We bid farewell to Norma L. Young of Pawnee, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 26, 2025 at the age of 96. Norma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Brawner and Lillie B. Harrier Brawner; her husband George T. Young; her daughter Debra Perschbacher; her daughter-in-law Connie Young; and her siblings, John Brawner (Uncle Jock) and Juanita Drone (Bridge).
She is survived by: her children, Robert T. Young, Ronald D. Young (Sherry) of Pawnee and Christine D. Sherrock (Bob) of Taylorville; her grandchildren, Amanda Polistina (Mike), Lindsey Young, Alicia Smith, Evan Perschbacher, Adam Perschbacher (Virginia), Blake Young (Abby), Bailey Hamilton (Hunter) and Brennen Young (Ally); her great grandchildren, Adriana, Mason, Avery, Stone, Torsten, Layton, Ryder, Maren, Henley and Kennedy; and her son-in-law Gregory Perschbacher of Pawnee. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Curry Funeral Home (407 Carroll St, Pawnee, IL 62558). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
