He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard C. Purvis and Lola Hubbs Purvis; his brothers, Richard L. Purvis and Donald Purvis; and his sister-in-law Lorna.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Purvis (Heather) of Springfield and Michelle Bauer (Tyler) of Riverton; his grandchildren, Zerrick Bauer, Gabriella Houston, Sierra Purvis and Gavin Bauer; and his siblings, Leroy Purvis of North Carolina and Mary Raye of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
