He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Martha; his children, Carolina Hernandez, Fanny Cristina Hernandez and Arturo Jr. Hernandez (Alla); his parents, Alfredo and Ana Maria; his granddaughters, Camilla and Madeline; his siblings, Teresa Hernandez, Aurora Hernandez, Benito Hernandez, Ana Maria Hernandez, Jose Manuel Hernandez, Rose Maria Elba Hernandez, Rita Hernandez and Raymundo Hernandez; and his nieces and nephews, Ernesto Ortiz (IN), Cristina Cabral (IN), Armando Gonzalez (IL), Nancy Abghari (CA), Richard Aguilar (WA) and Benito Hernandez (CA).
