With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Jean Burton of Paxton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Duane and Mary Magdalene Floyd Higginson; her husband Robert G. Burton; her grandson Joseph Hoopingarner; and her brothers, Terry and Andy Higginson.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Burton of Houston, TX, Marsha Barbato (Bato) of Cypress, TX, Duane Burton of Paxton, Mike Burton of Paxton, Becky Burton of Paxton and Kim Hoopingarner (Ernie) of Paxton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Baier Family Funeral Services (406 E Pells St, Paxton, IL 60957). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
