He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester George and Minnie Freed (Wessels); his son Raymond; his sister Joy Hanson (Wayne); and his niece Barbara Hanson-Till.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Sollars; his children, Steven Freed, Greg Freed (Cindy) of Columbus, Douglas Freed (Becky) of Paxton, Michael Freed (Susan) of Roberts and Suzanne Freed of Loda; and his grandchildren, Derek Kouzmanoff (Christina), Jamie Sager (Rob), Andre Freed, Deanna Floyd (Marcus), Jacob Freed, Jeffrey Freed, Kelsey Vanagaitis (Aaron), Logan Freed, Madison Freed and Grayson Freed. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
