She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Peddy and Florence Peddy (Carlson); her husband Bill Zeigler; and her siblings, Helen Robertson, Jeanette Baumgartner, Elaine Hanson and Gerald Peddy.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Zeigler Jr. (Linda), Chris Zeigler (Terre) and Cathy Simpson. She is also survived by six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Memorial Park (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Shirley's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to her heart.
