He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Detweiler and Pearl Detweiler (Neff). He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary of Pekin; his son Adam Detweiler (Tara) of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Detweiler of Austin; his brothers, Ken Detweiler (Betty) of Centennial, Colorado, Ed Detweiler (Sue) of Dixon, Illinois and Dr. Don Detweiler (Vickie) of Raleigh; and his friend David. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1020 S First Ave, Morton, IL 61550). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, causes close to David's heart.
