Donald Swing Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 9, 2025, at the age of 90, Donald Swing of Pekin, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Donald departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Donald. Though Donald may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Swing and Mabel Swing (Radefeld); his wife Wilma Lannert; and his brother Vernon Swing. He is survived by: his children, Steve Swing of Pekin, Linda Schmidgall (Rick) of Texas, Larry Swing (Pam) and Mike Swing of Pekin; and his sister Evelyn Palmer of Pekin. He is also survived by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in honor of Donald may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
