He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale F. Fugate and Grace Fugate (Goin); his siblings, Kenneth, Jerry Fugate, Lois Norris and Carol Brothers; and his stepbrother Don Losch.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Christopher; his sisters, Bonnie Eigeneer of Joliet, IL and Ellen Deeter (Walt) of Westfield, IN; and his close friend Bailey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
