It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James H. Taylor of Pekin, Illinois, born in Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Harvey and Juanita Taylor (Heflin); his grandson Alan J. K. Vaughn; and his brothers, Roger Taylor and Don Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Edith I. Henry; his daughters, Wendy McCready (Kevin) of East Peoria and Sandra Taylor of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Jennifer Stout (Jessy Bassett) of Mapleton, Noah Nelson of Minneapolis, Madeleine Nelson of Minneapolis, Kyle McCready (Baeleigh) of Edwards and Tyler McCready of Galesburg; his siblings, Pat Taylor (Rayjean Jarnagan) of Pekin, Sue Shawgo (Bruce) of Red Bud, Kenneth Monroe of Pekin, David Monroe of Pekin and Glenn Renfrow (Robin) of Kentucky; and his sister-in-law Margaret Taylor of Pekin. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
