It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Theodore Helgren of Pekin, Illinois, who passed away on July 30, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Helgren and Emma Helgren (Nelson). He is survived by: his wife Edna Elisabeth Helgren (Steitz); his children, Desiree Anderson (Keith) of Hendersonville and John Helgren (Christina) of Homer; his grandchildren, Erik Anderson (Abby), Nia Anderson, Hannah Rhodes (Erik), Johannes Helgren (Danielle) and Lucia Flowers (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Jayce Anderson, Halldor Helgren and Fritz Flowers; his siblings, Curtiss Helgren (Elizabeth) of Hart, Janice Helgren of Denver and Joyce Siecke (Don) of Denver, Colorado; and his brothers-in-law, Albert Steitz (Martha), Helmut Steitz (Christel) and Arthur Steitz (Sigrid). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
