He was predeceased by: his parents, Twila McHendry and Joseph Gaa II; and his wife Janet Sparks. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Gaa IV and Lisa Prather; his grandsons, Nathaniel Prather (Cassy) of Indiana and Nicholas Prather of Peoria; and his great grandchildren, Micah Joseph and Sophia Grace.
