He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Carter and Eveline Carter (Hembree); his brother Phillip Carter; and his son Ronald Sweat. He is survived by: his wife Linda West Brite; his sister Patricia Burr of Lima, Ohio; his children, Corrie Brite (Tim Henderson) of Sacramento, Kathleen Brite (Emanuel Williams) of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Terry Sweat; and his grandchildren, Ronald Sweat, Crystal Sweat and Isaac Williams. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; and a growing number of great-great-grandchildren.
