She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Murel and Ruby Ellen Benefield (Holliday); her son Clifford Lee Thomas; and her siblings, Alice McClanahan, Wanda Merritt and Carlis Ray Benefield.
She is survived by: her sisters, Charlotte Kay Turner of Pekin and Linda Jane Agee of Pekin. She is also survived by sixteen nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory (500 N 4th St, Pekin, IL 61554). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
