He was predeceased by: his father Melvin John Behrends, Jr.; and his aunt Donna Greener. He is survived by: his mother June Kay Behrends (Leslie); his sister Stacey Brienen (Brian) of Pekin; his nephews, Joshua Brienen (Alyssa) of Pekin and Jayson Brienen (Rebecca) of Moab, Utah; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Connor Brienen, Bryse Brienen, Case Brienen, Emersyn Brienen and Reed Brienen; his uncle John Leslie (Janice) of Las Vegas; and his aunt Jan Leslie of Tremont.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory (500 N 4th St, Pekin, IL 61554). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
