With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Lee Seelye (Pekin, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 2, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Straley and Easterbelle Straley; her husband Carl Seelye; her son Steve Kemp; her grandson Philip Sheff; her great grandchildren, Savannah Sheff, Navaeh Sheff and Chrislynn Sheff; and her sister Laura Westfall.

She is survived by: her children, Bill Seelye of Missouri, Carla Irvin of Pekin, Janice Sestedt of Hanna City, Chuck Seelye of Pekin, Barb Brown Haynes of Pekin and Valerie Kester Poe. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
