She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis B. Carlton and Margaret Carlton (Stevenson); her husband Donald Miller; her children, Sandra Dickerson and Timothy Miller; her granddaughter Kayla; her great grandchild Grayson; and her siblings, Catherine, Delores, Margaret, Floyd, Cliff, Bob and Tom.

She is survived by: her children, Don Miller (Roma) of Canton, Lori Miller of Galesburg, Melissa Homerin (Tony) of Delavan, Kelly Loomis of Walnut, Karen, Dave Morris of Pekin and Jill Mondron (Tom) of East Peoria; and her siblings, Fern Hudson of Creve Coeur, Beverly Murphey of Georgia, Earl Carlton of Girard and Art Carlton of Morton. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in Virginia's name to Hopedale Medical Complex.
