He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Gay and Bernice Gay (Derry); his stepmother Dorothy Gay; his daughter Lori Berardi; his granddaughter Rebecca Berardi; and his brothers, Richard and Larno Gay.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia K. Weghorst; his children, Kathryn Gensel (Roger) of Manito, Sandy Larson (Mike) of Metamora, Ken Gay (Bobbie) of Tucson and David Gay (Cindy) of Pekin; and his sister-in-law Pat Gay of East Peoria. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
