With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Perrin Henderson Sr. of Peoria Heights, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John Perrin left this world on June 25, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hancock and Mary Elizabeth Henderson (Crawford). He is survived by: his wife Beverly J. Yordy; his children, John, Jr. (Jennifer) of Mapleton, IL, Brett of Las Cruces, NM, Jeff (Traci) of Surprise, AZ and Jill (Ryan) of Las Cruces, NM.; his sister Mary Clingman (Kyle); his grandchildren, Alex, Jack III (Brittany D.), Clayton, Brittany Toel (Nick), Brooke, Maverick, Ryan, Payton, Ben, Max Henderson, Athen and John Zachary Freemyer; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Tucker, Noah Henderson and Theodore Toel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Arrowhead Country Club (19430 N Centerville Rd, Edelstein, IL 61526).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the "Henderson Neuroscience Research" at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP), One Illini Dr., Peoria, IL 61605 or a charity of your choice.
