She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Karl and Marie Karl (Shellabarger). She is survived by: her brothers, David and Paul; her husband Hugh Bernard Maroney; her children, Michelle Kindermann (John), Kevin Maroney (Raquel), Brian Maroney (Jagruti) and Sheila Maroney; her grandsons, Erik (Karen) and Sean (Erin); and her nieces, Marcia and Kathleen.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (7519 N Allen Rd, Peoria, IL 61614). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Sophia's Kitchen or a charity of the donor's choice.
