He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Reiter and Doris Reiter; and his sister Judith Runge. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Hand (Justin) and Karie Bencz (Kevin); his wife Joyce "Joy" A. Lawson Hill; his grandchildren, Nicole Wright (Jesse), Luke Murphy (Alexandra), Pierce Hill, Zoey Hill, Geneva Bencz, Presley Bencz, Valen Hand and Avalon Hand; his great grandchildren, Gemma Lorance, Audrey Wright and Jackson Wright; and his siblings, Melanie Bergstrom (Joe) and Kevin Reiter (Leanne). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Richwoods Christian Church (8115 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61615). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Colony Baptist Church, OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, or Grandview Masonic Lodge #1112.
