We announce the death of Sandra Scott (Peoria Heights, Illinois), who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 74. Sandra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marian Driscoll and Richard Swendsen; her daughter Melissa; and her sister Sue. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Scott; her sons, Patrick McCarthy and Tony Pari (Kenzie); her stepdaughters, Breah Scott (Michelle) and Kaitlyn Scott; her daughter-in-law Sarah Miller-McCarthy; her sisters, Janet Swendsen, Joleen Farney and Sharon Wall; and her grandchildren, Alexis, Tyler, Savannah, Trinity, Parker and Ada.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Catholic Church (904 E Lake Ave, Peoria Heights, IL 61616). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (7519 N Allen Rd, Peoria, IL 61614).
Memorial contributions may be made in Sandy's memory to TAPS, in honor of her lifelong love of animals; OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, for the compassionate care she received; or the Tessa Sutton Foundation, helping to replenish the seemingly endless supply of snacks her grandchildren managed to devour during her time in hospice.
