With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albert E. Chaney of Peoria, Illinois, born in York, Alabama, who passed away on October 4, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rev. William S. Chaney and Ora Dee Chaney (Moore) of Sumter County, Alabama.; his parents, William Chaney and Ora Dee Chaney; and his siblings, Billie, Johnny, Grover, Richard Lee, Larry Chaney and Mary Chaney-Scott.

He is survived by: his daughters, D. Rena Chaney of Peoria, IL., Mary and Shareese (Lakyia Bennett); his wife Mary L. Chaney; his children, Kendra Chaney Davis (Nate), Lakyia Bennett and Quan Young (Carol); his sister Lucille Chess of Los Angeles, CA.; his cousin Willie (Debra Newman); his brother Charles; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Beard of Newark, DE. and Cora McCullum of Peoria, IL.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
