He was predeceased by: his parents, Andreas Berg and Sina Haugen Berg; his wife Joan Anderson; and his brothers, Orvin and Maynard.

He is survived by: his children, Tracy Teich (Andreas), Leslie Berg, Steve Berg (Marcia) and Sherry Campbell (Rick); and his grandchildren, Carin Johnson (Ted), Jonathan Teich (Aja), Brent Oberlin (Nicolle) and Sarah Berg. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church - Peoria (1700 W War Memorial Dr, Peoria, IL 61614). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
