With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Anthony Rantisi of Peoria, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Anthony left this world on May 9, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mina Rantisi and Laurice Rantisi; and his siblings, Eli Rantisi, George Rantisi, Joseph Rantisi, Matuk Rantisi, Rima Rantissi, Yvette Sharshar and Lodi Tannous.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Bou Antoun (Dany), Sharbel Rantisi (Katie) and Rima Rantisi (Rami); his grandchildren, Elie, Finley, Leo, Layla, Sloane, Vincent and William; and his siblings, Antoinette Estephan (George), Jilfeh Fakhoury, Salwa Mureibe, Amal Saba (Mousa) and Lily Sobieski (Dan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Sharbel Church (2914 W Scenic Dr, Peoria, IL 61615). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Illinois Cancer Center, OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Center, or St. Sharbel's Church in Tony's name.
