She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Norton and Elberta Norton (Neely); her sons, Sidney David South and Kenneth McFadden; and her siblings, Patricia Norton-Clark, Shirley Norton-Randle, Herman, Breon and James Norton.

She is survived by: her spouse Sidney Joseph South; her children, Lavelle McFadden (Michelle), Brenda McFadden and Melody McFadden (Flatt); her siblings, William Norton (Mildred), Reba Norton and Roselyn Anderson; her sister-in-law Karen Norton; and her extended family, Steven, Gregory, Amber, Dominique, Eric, Shante, Chris and Diuliphete.
