She is survived by: her daughters, Cyd Ella "Marcena" Edmonds (Terry, Sr.) of Peoria, IL, Sheree Hunter (McArthur "John") of Monroe, LA, Althea "Janice" Carter (Gail Randall) of San Leandro, CA and Rose Johnson of Peoria, IL; her brother Ernest McKinney (Alvis) of Hope, AR; and her grandchildren, Danielle Houston of San Leandro, CA, Lonnie "Jon" Houston, Jr. (Sophia) of Tolleson, LaQuayla Miller of Snellville, GA, Monisha Edmonds of Peoria, IL, Marques Houston of Phoenix, AZ, Terry Edmonds, Jr. of Bloomington, IL, Allanna Johnson (Quinton Flowers) of Chicago, IL, LaKeisha Johnson, Tonaio Johnson (Latrice) of Peoria, IL, Andrea Toombs (Dominique) of Gilbert, AZ, Daniel Carter, Jr. of Oakland, CA and Lena Reed of Oakland, CA. She is also survived by 36 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peoria Friendship M. B. Church (3828 N New York Ave, Peoria, IL 61614). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the Azar Cemetery.
